WFS wins handling contract for UK, France & Netherlands

Airbridge International Agencies has awarded a contract to Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) to provide cargo reception points and handling in the UK, France and the Netherlands for its customer S7 Airlines, the second largest domestic carrier in Russia.

Airbridge has a sales agreement with S7 Cargo LLC, the cargo division of S7 Airlines in each of the countries as well as in Ireland and Israel.

S7 Airlines currently flies from Dublin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich into Moscow using a modern Airbus A319/A320 and Boeing 767-300 fleet. From the Russian capital, cargo can be distributed by S7 throughout Russia to Adler Sochi, Anapa, Baku, Chelyabinsk,’Ekaterinburg,’Irkutsk, Kazan,’Khabarovsk,‘Khudzhand, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk,’Nizhniy Novogorod,Novosibirsk, Osh, Omsk, Pavlodar,’Perm,’ Rostov-on-Don, Saint Petersburg, Samara, Ufa, Ust Kamenogorsk, Vladikavkaz, Volgograd and Yerevan.

Mark Andrew, Managing Director of Airbridge, said: ‘S7 offers exporters and their freight forwarding partners extensive coverage of the Russian market from Moscow. We have chosen WFS for offline handling for S7 because of the quality of its service and its network and infrastructure. It is beneficial to us to be able to deal with one handling partner for the UK, France and the Netherlands.’

As an authorized customs carrier in Russia, S7’Airlines carries commercial cargo under the domestic customs transit procedure and international customs transit mode (VTT and MTT).
