2015 Telecommunications & Train Control Conference

Last year, in a world first, the Australian rail industry was awarded a nation-wide dedicated spectrum which will bring massive benefits to rail including allowing up to 50% more trains at peak times and facilitating moves towards a nation-wide interoperable system. More recently, the Federal Government, approved a first instalment payment of$15.5 million towards the implementation of the $65 million Advanced Train Management System (ATMS) project in April as part of the roll out of Stage 1 of the ATMS project. Telecommunications & Train Control 2015 will bring together passenger and freight rail operators, transport agencies, track owners, regulators and technology suppliers to assess telecommunications solutions and explore the capabilities of a shared future.
