Addleshaw Goddard has continued its investment drive in Asia with the hire of Ton van den Bosch, who joins the firm's Singapore office as a partner in the Corporate team on 1 February 2019.

Ton joins from Ince & Co where he was Of Counsel as well as heading its global Terminals & Maritime Infrastructure practice and its Energy and Projects team in South and Southeast Asia. His appointment demonstrates AG's continued investment into its Asia practice, and follows the hires of Corporate Partner Lance Jiang and litigator Janie Wong in Hong Kong. Ton's sector focus on Energy & Utilities, as well as on Transportation and Infrastructure, complement his experience in corporate, finance, restructuring, foreign investment and project development, bringing additional market-leading expertise to AG's already strong corporate offering.

Bob Charlton, Head of AG's Asia region, commented: "Southeast Asia is an exciting market and Ton's proven track record of self-generating business opportunities, coupled with his experience in areas that will see us penetrate new sectors in the region, means we can grow our corporate offering in the region and strengthen links with the GCC, India and Africa. Our plans to be a double-digit partner business by FY 2021 are on course and we will continue to look for the right talent to achieve this aim."
