Charleston, S.C. – The Keith Corporation, in conjunction with the owner of West Branch Commerce Park, is set to develop a new 615,000 square-foot transload facility for A&R Logistics, Inc., in Moncks Corner, S.C. The company broke ground at an event on October 21, 2019, to mark the occasion.  CSX will provide rail service to the site granting A&R Logistics direct, reliable, and efficient access to the Port of Charleston. The building will boast 36’ clearance heights and future expansion capability.

To complete the global export facility, The Keith Corporation has partnered with Frampton Construction Company, LLC, a regional full-service construction firm providing planning and design support, preconstruction, and construction services. The company has built three projects with The Keith Corporation in the Charleston Trade Center this year.

Alan Lewis, managing partner of The Keith Corporation’s Industrial Division, said, “It’s exciting to kick off our newest Charleston-area park with a great tenant like A&R Logistics. We look forward to watching West Branch Commerce Park grow up around them as the first tenant in this critically located new site.”

“Being a part of this significant endeavor to construct a new state-of-the-art export facility for A&R Logistics as they bring more jobs and economic investment to the Lowcountry is both an honor and a privilege,” added Chad Frampton, CEO of Frampton Construction.

Additional partners include McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture, WGPM Engineering, and Thomas & Hutton. This facility will be the first of its kind for A&R Logistics on the East Coast. Construction is underway, and the facility is expected to be operational by November of 2020.
