Bolloré Logistics Charleston was named one of South Carolina’s Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies. South Carolina's Fastest Growing Companies competition is the annual ranking of the Palmetto State's 50 most dynamic and successful companies. This year’s recipients were honored at a luncheon at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on October 24, where the team of Bolloré Logistics Charleston were in attendance.

The competition recognizes achievements of top-performing private and publicly owned companies based in South Carolina that have contributed to the state’s economy through exceptional increases in revenues and employment. Bollore Logistics Charleston was positioned at no. 13 in the list.

I am very proud of this achievement,” commented Paul Insabella, Branch Manager Charleston. “Everyone in our team understands how they are bringing value and helping this company grow. Our people have shown tremendous drive to be the best in all we do, and it’s always nice to see their hard work validated.”

Representatives of The Capital Corporation and partner sponsors made virtual visits of nominees to interview key personnel and view company operations.

It is an honor to be involved in recognizing the growth of South Carolina’s companies,” said Lori Coon, Publisher of Columbia Business Monthly and Greenville Business Magazine and Charleston Business Magazine.

The Bolloré Logistics Charleston branch opened in October 2016 and has built steadily since then from the ground up to encompass a diverse customer base handling an increasing volume of air and ocean freight for the Southeast USA market. In the past four years, the branch growth has been exceptional with a 450% increase in turnover and adding 14 employees to the team that started with 2 when it first opened.

The US Southeast continues to expand in both population and manufacturing infrastructure, and the Port of Charleston serves as the international ocean gateway to support this region.

The Charleston Harbor Deepening Project is on track to achieve a 52-foot depth — yielding the deepest harbor on the East Coast. The New Hugh Leatherman Terminal is now able to accept the largest ocean container vessels in the world. The state of South Carolina invested $550 million in critical port infrastructure projects to develop a near-dock rail at the Port of Charleston and inner-harbor barge operation.

These investments will further support Bolloré Logistics Charleston customers’ supply chains and attract additional cargo to the Port of Charleston, bringing new economic development, investment and jobs across the state.
