Acquisition expands Central Freight Lines reach to Southeastern U.S. & Puerto Rico Waco, TX - Central Freight Lines (CFL), an LTL common carrier operating from 56 terminals in the West and Southwest regions of the U.S., today announced it has signed a Letter of Intent to buy certain assets of Virginia-based Wilson Trucking, a 91 year old LTL carrier with 29 terminals in the Southeast. “This expansion to the entire Southeastern U.S. and Puerto Rico improves our long term competitive position in the LTL and distribution markets and allow us to give our customers the extended coverage they’ve been asking for,” stated Don Orr, president and CEO of Central Freight Lines. “In the past 12 years Central Freight Lines has received 42 Highway Safety Awards from national and state industry groups,” continued Orr. “We are proud of our accomplishments and look forward to bringing the same quality service to the Southeast.”   “This is very good news for the many loyal customers of Wilson,” said C.L.
