Heinz Senger-Weiss (44) has announced his resignation from the operational Management Board of Gebrüder Weiss. The Managing Director Air & Sea is going to leave the transport and logistics company for personal reasons on December 31, 2019. “We respect the decision of Heinz Senger-Weiss and thank him for his great commitment to the company. For 20 years, 15 years of which as a member of the Management Board, he has successfully contributed to the development of Gebrüder Weiss and has had a lasting influence on the orange corporate culture,” says Dr. Rudolf Christian Stiehl, Supervisory Board Chairman of Gebrüder Weiss. After various international activities, Heinz Senger-Weiss assumed the position of Regional Managing Director Air & Sea at Gebrüder Weiss in 2003 and became a member of the Board of Management in 2005. Ever since, he has been in charge of the Air & Sea, Sales and Customs divisions.
With effect from September 1, 2019, Dr. Lothar Thoma (52) will start working for Gebrüder Weiss in the Air & Sea division. Born in Germany, he has over 20 years of experience in the logistics industry and has most recently been responsible, as CEO, for the overall business of an international logistics group. Before that, he has held various executive positions with other renowned international transport and logistics companies. “With Dr. Lothar Thoma, an experienced logistics expert joins the company. Thanks to his international management competence, he has all the prerequisites for managing the Air & Sea division at Gebrüder Weiss,” says Dr. Stiehl.
