Maersk buys Asian warehouse giant in $3.6 billion takeover

A.P. Moller-Maersk A/S is buying an Asian warehouse specialist in a transaction worth $3.6 billion in enterprise value, expanding its push into land-based logistics that’s become more profitable than its traditional sea-container business.

Damen Shipyards has delivered a new Shoalbuster 3815 SD to Caspian Offshore Construction LLP (COC). The Shoalbuster 3815 SD is one of the newest and largest vessels in the Shoalbuster range and stands out for its ability to operate in waters of no more than 120 centimetres in depth. Due to the congestion issues in US East Coast ports impacting schedule reliability and causing delays to shipments, MSC has decided to combine the calls at Savannah and New York for its Liberty and America services as from mid-January until further notice to provide better schedule reliability.
