In the fourth quarter of 2018, Saqr Port, part of the RAK PORTS GROUP, ordered three Model 8 mobile harbor cranes. Two Konecranes Gottwald cranes will be delivered in April 2019, a third one to follow in July 2019.

The Economic Development Administration recently announced the award of a $5 million grant to the Port of Beaumont for Phase I of the Main Street Terminal 1 dock rebuild. The new, state-of-the-art dock will replace the dilapidated wharf structure that was built in the early 1900s and failed in 2011.
