China – Europe rates have continued to rise this week inline with the Forward Curve, which remains largely unchanged as we continue through the peak season. Carriers are reporting a squeeze on space in the run up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday which is likely to continue the rise in freight prices from now until the end of peak season. However, the Air charter brokers are uncertain about whether or not Q4 will match last year’s highs.
As China and the US fail to make an agreement on trade this week, further tariffs on Chinese goods into the US are on the table. As shippers look for new manufacturing options across South East Asia - Air Cargo, which is adept at being reactive and delivering at short notice, is expected to benefit from increased demand during this time.
