List 3 Tariffs Clarification:

There has been confusion as to the effective dates of the increased tariffs. Many long-winded answers, whittled to the simplest rules (as of today - unless CBP changes them in the future). Bottom line: many goods on the the water today from China to East Coast ports, will arrive after the "10% window" closes on June 1. 1. Goods exported from China before May 10, 2019, and entering the US before June 1: 10%
  2. Goods that enter the US on or after June 1, 2019: 25% - the China export date has no relevance.
  3. Goods exported from China after May 10, 2019: 25% - no exceptions
