The new organization has the advantage to include a direct call in Malta providing wide access to Eastern Mediterranean ports thanks to an important feeder network.
New opportunities are also offered in Western Africa thanks to a direct call in Dakar, which will serve as a transshipment base for cargo originating from Asia and the Mediterranean.
'These new calls allow CMA CGM to better service the Eastern part of the Mediterranean and to extend its reach onto local markets. It guarantees CMA CGM customers extensive, but also competitive service,' explains Jean-Yves Duval, Deputy Vice President Latin America East Coast lines at CMA CGM.
