Comcar Industries, the parent company for four divisions offering truck transportation services, has appointed Christopher Shepherd as Vice President of Purchasing and Fleet Management.  Shepherd brings nearly 25 years of transportation experience to his new role, where he will be responsible for corporate-wide purchasing and management of the company’s trucking assets.

Prior to joining Comcar, Shepherd was with American Commercial Lines for nearly 10 years, most recently serving as Vice President of Commercial Services.  In that position, he planned and executed the startup of new boat, barge and warehouse operations in Chicago, Ill.  Before that, he held various leadership positions within CSX Transportation.
