Memphis, TN – Memphis-based third party logistics provider Cornerstone Systems, Inc. (“Cornerstone”) announced being named Intermodal Carrier of the Year by Whirlpool Corporation.
Founded in 1911 and headquartered in Benton Harbor, MI, Whirlpool Corporation remains one of the largest intermodal shippers in the country. The Intermodal Carrier of the Year award is based on overall performance (on-time pickup and delivery/service, tender/load acceptance, data accuracy/integrity, invoice accuracy) and strategic partnership (additional value beyond performance). Five finalists were chosen from roughly 20 intermodal providers within the Whirlpool network. The winner was selected by votes from a mix of all Whirlpool transportation and supply chain operations personnel.
