The CNY bottleneck has not yet impacted air freight. Prices continue to ease on the three major lanes.

China-US prices have now dropped nine weeks in a row, and are only 46% of their November 26, $4.825 peak.

It’s a similar, but less dramatic, picture with China-Europe prices. They dropped for the sixth week in a row, and are only 64% of their December 10, $3.65 peak.

Europe-US prices are back where they were on November 5, at $2.50. If it can be called a peak, the highest price in between was only 5c more. Some carriers offered promotional pricing right through the period.
