Datta to strengthen company’s presence in international market
Globe Express Services has announced the appointment of Poonam Datta as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). The industry expert will be responsible for developing the company’s global commercial strategy and building a strong team to further expand its presence in the international market. An accomplished and experienced business leader, Datta is a thorough professional with an ability to build synergies across platforms and organizations to deliver consistent growth for all stakeholders.
Datta boasts of an excellent career, spanning 25 years of professional growth and learning. Prior to joining GES, she was the CCO of a regional port and logistics service provider. Datta was also the Founder and CEO of International Management Consultants, a leading Dubai-based full-service management consultancy, training and executive search firm. In the past, she has worked with Maersk Group, where she successfully grew through the ranks to become one of the Group’s youngest Managing Directors. Responsible for the Group’s Middle East offices, Datta led Maersk Line, Safmarine and Maersk Logistics to unprecedented growth and results in their respective countries.

Datta has a proven track record in human resource development, relationship building, and delivering record-setting performances, assisting organizations and individuals to realize their potential and self-actualization goals. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Post Graduate Certifications in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, India and the International Institute for Management Development, Lausanne in Switzerland.
