Great White Fleet Corporation (GWF), a leading ocean carrier specializing in temperature- controlled logistics, today announced a major commercial expansion across its Pan-American and European trade networks. Driven by the deployment of its 14th active vessel, 2,000 next generation refrigerated containers, and strategic new multimodal routes, the expansion significantly scales capacity for global perishables and frozen cargo producers ahead of Q4 2026 peak season.
At the core of the infrastructure upgrade is the launch of the Chiquita Enterprise, entering service in late 2026. To support the expanded fleet, GWF is injecting 2,000 new refrigerated containers into its rotation by December 2026. These units are equipped with Carrier Transicold’s latest OptimaLine™ technology, which uses advanced atmosphere control to extend the shelf life of high-value commodities—including avocados, berries, citrus, grapes and other produce—over long-distance transit.
To optimize transit times and provide greater routing flexibility for its ever-growing network of international clients, GWF is launching three major transit corridors in October 2026:
• North American Inland Link: A new, direct train route connecting the Midwest United States via the central rail hub of Harvey, IL to Gulfport, Mississippi for export into Central America
• Peru to USA Northeast (Philadelphia) Service: A direct ocean route designed to accelerate south-to-north seasonal produce logistics into the U.S. Northeast.
• Ecuador to Global Markets Express: A new ocean service linking Guayaquil, Ecuador, directly to major U.S. and European ports.

Decarbonization and Port-Community Impact
As part of its fleet renewal strategy, GWF is actively mitigating the environmental impact of its expanded operations. The company has done trials on marine biofuels, deploying energy-efficient refrigeration units, and utilizing shore-power capabilities (port electrification) to eliminate hoteling emissions at berth. These operational standards align with GWF's broader commitment to ISO and SA8000 social accountability certifications, which include direct funding for infrastructure and education in its primary port communities.
