Due to the continued Industrial action at the Port of Montreal we expect that the terminal performance at the port will be severely affected by strikes. 

This event is well beyond Hapag-Lloyd's control. Pursuant to the terms and conditions of the relevant underlying contracts of carriage as evidenced by their standard Bill of Lading and/or Sea Waybill, as the case may be, including, without limitation, Clause 17 – “Methods and Routes of Carriage” and Clause 18 – “matters affecting Performance”, as well as the Hapag-Lloyd Tariffs applicable thereto, Hapag-Lloyd announced the following information for your consideration: 

As per the previous announcement, M.V. Detroit Express was diverted to Saint John, New Brunswick and M.V. Montreal Express to Halifax, Nova-Scotia. As the situation develops it may prove necessary to divert other vessels.

Additional costs for cargo furtherance to/from the diversion ports are as follows. The chargecode used will be DIV. The stated amounts are in USD.
