The new local service fee effective July 15, 2016.
The new SOLAS convention will become effective July 1, 2016 and it will be mandatory to submit the verified gross mass (VGM) prior to stowage aboard ship.
You can submit the VGM through following channels:
- Via the new VGM oriented VERMAS (EDI) message
- Via existing EDI connections (in e-Shipping Instruction)
- Via our Hapag-Lloyd website (Online Business – webVGM or VGM Excel)
- Via portal solutions (such as INTTRA, GT Nexus, CargoSmart, Dakosy)
With effective date July 15, 2016, Hapag-Lloyd will introduce a Manual Transmission Fee for all VGM information that is transferred manually.
The
Manual Transmission Fee for VGM will be implemented by all Hapag-Lloyd Med Agents with an amount of either USD 50 or EUR 50 per container.
This fee is only applicable in case of a manual transmission. To avoid potential manual transmission, contact your local Hapag-Lloyd office for assistance.
