Since October 1, 2019 Hapag-Lloyd has implemented a Fuel Surcharge for Inland Haulage under Carrier agreement within Canada for rail and combined rail inland moves as follows:

Charges for Exports (FOI) and Imports (FDI)

Data for fuel surcharge adjustments will be based on the Weekly U.S. No 2 Diesel Retail Prices (Dollars per Gallon) which is available at: U.S. Energy Information Administration

The initial Diesel Price baseline was $3.05 based on the June through August 2019 average. At this level, our Fuel Surcharge amount effective on October 1, 2019 was set at $32 per container. For every $0.10 change in the quarterly average from the baseline mentioned above, the fuel surcharge will go up or down by $8 per container. If the quarterly average changes by less than $0.10 from the baseline, the surcharge will not change.
