Effective August 1, 2019, Hapag-Lloyd will revise the Equipment Maintenance Fee (EMF) to cover all repair charges under THB 5,000 per container. Any repair charges exceeding THB 5,000 per container will be collected from the customer separately with the actual exceeded amount.

Based on the commodities, the EMF fee will be separated into two groups as follows:

Group 1:  applies for general cargo 

Group 2:  applies for special cargo, such as; wooden plank, wooden sheet, log, steel coil, steel plate, machinery, metal block, aluminum ingot, fertilizer, feed mill, leather, raw hide, fluff pulp, poultry meat, rough marble block, oriented strand board, hydrolyzed protein of porcine, porcine meat and bone meal, marble slab and soda ash. EMF is differentiated by HS code.
