Hutchison Whampoa Ltd said that it has agreed to buy port and property assets from China Resources (Holdings) Co Ltd for a total of HK$5.7 billion ($732.5 million).

The acquisition will allow Hutchison, a ports to telecommunications conglomerate controlled by tycoon Li Ka-shing, to increase its percentage interest in Hongkong International Terminals Ltd, HIT Investments Ltd and some properties.
