Washington, DC - The Institute of International Container Lessors’ (IICL) President, Steven Blust, announced that, Keith Lovetro, President and Chief Executive Officer of TRAC Intermodal, has been elected to the position of Chairman of the IICL for 2017, succeeding Simon Vernon, President of Triton Intermodal Limited.

Mr. Lovetro began his career in the Transportation Industry in 1980 and has over 34 years of management and leadership experience. During that time, he has worked in the Regional LTL segment, and the Ground Parcel, Air Express, Integrated Air Freight and Air Freight forwarding segments. Prior to joining TRAC Intermodal in June of 2011, he was the President and CEO of the YRC Regional Transportation group, which was a $2.0+ billion dollar Regional LTL transportation company, comprised of USF Holland, USF Reddaway and New Penn Express. In addition, he was the Executive Vice President, Marketing at DHL Express and a member of the DHL/US Management Board of Directors. DHL offers Express Envelope and Ground Parcel services throughout the United States and world. Prior to that, he was the President and CEO of FedEx Freight West, a regional LTL Company wholly-owned by FedEx Corporation. Mr. Lovetro has held numerous senior leadership positions throughout his career in the functional areas of Operations, Marketing and Sales. Mr. Lovetro holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Santa Clara and a Bachelors degree from the University of California, Davis. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of Interpool (parent company of TRAC Intermodal), and the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA). It’s been a pleasure working with him.”   The IICL’s Board also elected Katherine McCabe, President, Beacon Intermodal Leasing, LLC, as First Vice President; Richard Barreau, Managing Director, TOUAX Container Services, as Second Vice President; George Elkas, President, Flexi-Van Leasing, Inc., as Treasurer; and William J. Shea Jr., Chairman and CEO, Direct ChassisLink Inc., as Executive Committee Member at Large. Organized in 1971, the IICL is a trade association, representing lessors of maritime containers and intermodal chassis. Its member companies, Beacon, CAI, Direct ChassisLink, Flexi-Van, SeaCube, Textainer, TOUAX, TRAC Intermodal, and Triton International Limited, own or manage a significant portion of the global leased container and U.S. chassis fleets. The IICL is active in educational, technological, safety, environmental, governmental, regulatory, and security issues.
