Due to the inaccessibility of the foundation of the new loading-arm PrimoCargo worked out a smart solution based on a water-side erection by floating-crane and pontoon instead of mobile-cranes from the land-side. The loading-arm was delivered by road transport (extendable lowbed-trailer) from the supplier in Belgium, loaded by floating-crane onto a tug-towed pontoon at PrimoCargo´s nominated Terminal at Cuxhaven for shipment to the site 40 km onward. As per Philipp-Christopher Ebbo Schopnie (General Manager of PrimoCargo) stormy conditions (Beaufort 9) on the day of erection impacted operations, but luckily late afternoon the wind subsided and PrimoCargo could finish the job to the full satisfaction of their customer.
