ATS International Services, Inc. (ATSI) recently named Jay Thomassen Vice President & General Manager, effective Sept. 1.

Prior to his promotion, Thomassen served as Vice President of Commercial Services, where he led ATSI's sales and customer service strategy and played a key role in strengthening customer relationships and supporting the company's growth. In his expanded role, he will oversee both commercial and operational functions while driving strategic planning, business development, operational efficiency, and employee development.

“Jay has consistently delivered exceptional results, built a high-performing team, and played a pivotal role in ATSI’s sustained growth,” said ATS Chief Logistics Officer Jason Netland. “As we continue to expand our global footprint, strengthening our organizational structure under his proven leadership will enhance alignment, drive execution, and position us to capitalize on new opportunities while meeting the evolving needs of our customers worldwide.”

Thomassen will also continue strengthening collaboration across the Anderson Trucking Service (ATS) family of companies. He will help connect international freight forwarding with broader ATS capabilities such as ocean transport, project management, yard and warehousing services (including FTZ), transloading, heavy haul transportation, permitting, route planning, and final delivery.

With more than 35 years of experience in international and ocean transportation, Thomassen brings deep industry knowledge to the position. He joined ATSI as Director of Sales in 2012 and was named Vice President of Commercial Services in 2023. Prior to joining ATSI, he spent 21 years with Trailer Bridge, following six years of service in the United States Navy.
