UTC Overseas is pleased to announce that JL Supplies Suriname and UTC Overseas Suriname will implement a dedicated Marine Gas Oil supply solution from the J&L Terminal Shore Base in Paramaribo. The solution is designed to support SOL, Staatsolie, oil and gas operators, offshore contractors, service companies, PSVs, and other vessels operating in Suriname.

This initiative is part of a broader approach in which UTC Overseas has been actively involved in supporting the structuring, optimization, and operational development of the base. The objective is to improve port-call efficiency, reduce PSV turnaround time, and create a more cost-effective and attractive logistics platform for offshore and maritime operators in Suriname.

Strategically located in the Nieuwe Haven Industrial Zone in Paramaribo, there is direct access to the commercial port area. The facility is designed as a multi-purpose oil and gas terminal for cargo, heavy-lift, storage, marine support, and logistics operations. It offers 24/7 operational capability, a paved support area of approximately 0.8 ha. The terminal is in the process of obtaining ISPS approval.

The MGO supply solution represents a first step in the progressive development of an integrated supply base service offering. By combining fuel supply, cargo handling, marine support services, logistics coordination, and digital visibility, the partnership aims to help operators reduce vessel waiting time, optimize port calls, and improve overall operational efficiency. MGO supply services will align with the highest safety standards required by the oil and gas industry and enable MGO transfer at a planned rate of up to 100 CBM per hour.

During MGO operations, vessels will also have the possibility to load and unload equipment, access potable water, arrange waste management services, and benefit from ship chandling and other support services. This combined service approach will allow operators and service companies to consolidate several activities during a single port call.

A dedicated IT solution will provide visibility, planning, and priority management for registered customers within the JL Supplies network.

Through this partnership, JL Supplies Suriname and UTC Overseas Suriname aim to contribute to the development of safe, reliable, and efficient marine logistics solutions in Suriname, with the ability to offer a fully integrated door-to-door logistics solution from overseas vendors to the oil and gas ecosystem.
