Effective December 15th, 2019, MSC will introduce a bonded transfer fee of U$200 on all import cargo destined to United States.
This fee will be charged per bill of lading and will be payable as ‘collect’ at Port of Discharge, and in accordance with the agreement for payment of freight charges.
The charge is levied for any US import shipment in which Carrier arranges the in-bond transportation under their own bond, for cargo moving via truck to an inland bonded facility, FTZ or duty-free zone.
