Cushman & Wakefield announced the firm has represented Hayward, CA based East Bay Logistics in extending the lease for its 228,256-square-foot logistics/distribution facility in Sumner (Tacoma), Washington, near the Port of Tacoma. East Bay Logistics’ facility, where it provides supply chain management for coffee, sugar, and cocoa products, is located at 4800 E Valley Highway at the southern end of the Kent Valley in the Sumner-Pacific area. The property is owned by Prologis, Inc.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Jay Hagglund together with Patrick Mullin and Scott Alan also of the firm joined forces to represent the tenant in the transaction.

Founded in 1997, East Bay Logistics offers warehousing and logistics services for commodities: coffee, cocoa, and sugar. The company services the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Seattle markets.

“This is a critical location for East Bay Logistics in serving its customer base in Greater Seattle. The company has operated here for several years particularly due to its convenient location that provides direct access to SR-167 and SR-410 with easy access to I-5, as well as to the Port of Seattle,” said Executive Managing Director Jay Hagglund.

East Bay Logistics Sumner facility also features 35’ clear height, ESFR sprinkler system, 56 dock high doors with levelers at each position, 200 car parking spaces, and T-5 motion sensor lights.

According to Cushman & Wakefield’s latest Q1 2024 industrial report, overall vacancy for the Seattle industrial market was 6.0%, with vacancy in Sumner finishing a notch above at 6.6%.
