Oakland – On Thursday April 17th, Oakland International Container Terminal received the largest vessel to ever call the Port of Oakland, the MSC Anna. The MSC Anna is 1,312 feet long and has a capacity of 19,000 TEU’s. Requiring 40 feet of draft she was comfortably able to come into port on low tide with the terminal capable of 50 feet of draft. The MSC Anna can handle eleven high containers on deck and twenty-three containers wide.

The MSC Anna will work two shifts on this call at OICT, moving 1,500 containers.
