PortMiami has announced the arrival of Zim Shipping Company’s new Colibri Xpress service, adding to its growing list of global shipping partners and creating more choice for its cargo customers. Zim is one the of the world’s leading container shipping companies, operating a fleet of more than 80 vessels and offering services to over 180 ports worldwide. This new line will strengthen PortMiami’s position in the international shipping market and bolster economic growth in Miami-Dade County through our world-class port.

It will allow Zim to better serve its customers in the Americas and provide opportunities for increased trade and commerce in the region.”

The arrival of the Colibri Xpress marks a significant milestone for PortMiami, which is consistently ranked among the top container ports in the United States. This service is a premium line from South America West Coast to the United States East Coast. Zim will deploy six 1,700 TEU vessels with increased capacity for refrigerated cargo.

The service will operate on a line calling on San Antonio (Chile), Callao (Peru), Guayaquil (Ecuador), Cartagena (Colombia), Kingston (Jamaica), Philadelphia – Miami, Kingston (Jamaica) – Buenaventura (Colombia), Guayaquil (Ecuador) – Callao (Peru), San Antonio (Chile).
