Dulany Industries, Inc. announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary SeaGate Terminals, LLC — a premier warehouse and logistics provider with locations in Savannah, Ga. and Chesapeake, Va. — recently broke ground on a solar-powered multi-use building at the company’s Chesapeake, Va. location.

Special guests attending the groundbreaking ceremony on August 8, 2023 included David White from the Virginia Maritime Association, Ben White and Tim Howlett from the City of Chesapeake Economic Development and Brandon Nice from David Nice Builders. SeaGate Terminals Manager Jay White offered thankful words to the company’s hard-working team members.

The 4,000 square-foot, two-story building will feature office space, a conference room, locker rooms, showers, a break room and training area. As part of the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, the new building will include solar panels on the roof.

“As Seagate Terminals has seen its business flourish in Chesapeake, we are excited to support the construction of a new office for our deserving team members in Chesapeake,” said Kevin Glover, President of SeaGate Terminals. “We’re honored to build a new facility to meet growing customer demand at our Virginia location and to incorporate solar technology into the overall design.”

The new multi-use building is expected to be complete in early 2024. A dedication ceremony is currently being planned.
