Based on the latest information from the national hurricane center, government agencies, and terminal partners, SeaLand provided updates to keep you informed of the operational impact to cargo operations. Port Operations: Port au-Prince-Haiti: Port not affected at this time. Waiting on reply from the agency and terminal. Jamaica-Kingston: Port not affected at this time. Caucedo – Rio Haina (Dominican Republic): The president of the Dominican Republic together with the Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias have declared the whole country as yellow alert. Caucedo (DOZA6TM): Terminal will be closed since WED 10:00 to FRI (hour depends on the weather conditions). They’re stacking all the containers in yard to 2 in height as a security measure. Haina (DOHAIOR): Terminal will be closed by WED 14:00 until Fri if weather permits. As Caucedo, they’re stacking all the containers in yard to 2 in height for the fulls and the empties are being unloaded to the floor. They won’t be berthing any new vessels since WED 07:00. Port congestion must be happening. Below is the contingency cut-off for gate moves: Empties reception until WED 00:01 & Gate-In Full and Gate-out Full acceptance until WED 14:00. Freeport (Bahamas): Port not affected at this time. San Juan -Puerto Rico: Terminal closed on Tuesday at 18:00, reopen Friday based on damage assessment. Port Everglades: According to The US Coast Guard, both ports, Miami and Port Everglades, will be in condition Whiskey as of today at 8:00 AM EST. They are currently expected to go into condition X Ray on September 7th. Port Everglades will remain open today and tomorrow, Thursday Sept. 7th until 4:30 PM EST. It will close on Friday, Sept. 8th. Miami: According to The US Coast Guard, both ports, Miami and Port Everglades, will be in condition Whiskey as of today at 8:00 AM EST. They are currently expected to go into condition X Ray onSeptember 7th. As of this Tuesday, September 6 at 3:00 PM EST, the terminal gates at the Port of Miami will be closed from receiving exports.
