To improve Sealand's product offering and optimize the Latin America / West Coast South America (AC) network, Sealand is modifying the AC2 network as of December 2018. The service’s addition of a Balboa, Panama call after Buenaventura, Colombia will provide greater port coverage and faster transit time.
The optimized network will deliver higher value to Sealand’s customers offering them better market coverage, direct services, combined with a vast network across the Americas.
Other benefits of the new AC network include:
- Maersk operates 100% of the AC2 fleet
- One of the fastest transit times in the market
- Balboa offers dedicated access to Panama City market
- One day transit between Buenaventura, Colombia, and Balboa, Panama
Connectivity to the full Sealand Americas Network via Balboa and Manzanillo including those ports serviced by the SAE, NAE, TP-16, WCCA, and WCCA2 services.
Effective on December 12th the new re-designed AC2 will be:
AC2: Manzanillo (Mexico), Lazaro Cardenas, Balboa, Buenaventura, Balboa, Manzanillo (Mexico).
