Lexington, SC - Southeastern Freight Lines, the leading provider of regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services, today announced an expansion of its Savannah service center, located at 1717 Old Dean Forest Road in Pooler, Georgia, with an expanded shipping dock and new maintenance shop.

The new expanded dock and maintenance shop adds 18,600 square feet to the facility, featuring 35 new dock doors and a breakroom. Adding to its existing infrastructure, the Savannah service center now totals 32,332 square feet and 93 dock doors.

“The increase in doors will allow us to serve our customers at a higher level along with becoming more efficient in our processes,” said Brian Maddox, service center manager, Southeastern Freight Lines. “We look forward to providing our ‘quality without question’ service to even more customers in and around Georgia.”

The facility employs more than 70 associates, recently hiring several driver trainees and freight handlers in alignment with the expansion. To find current career opportunities, visit sefl.com and select “Careers.”

The Savannah service center has a rich history of more than 65 years, opening in 1952 in what is now the Savannah State Farmer’s Market. The location had one dock door and was one of the company’s first six locations. In the 1970s, the service center moved to where it stands today.
