Quonset, RI – On Wednesday, April 5 at 10:30 a.m. Governor Gina M. Raimondo will join local community and business leaders to celebrate the completion of steel framing at Finlays new global research and development center at Quonset Business Park. Finlays is a global leader in the development and distribution of tea and coffee extracts. Earlier this year, Finlays broke ground on the first part of a multi-phased project that includes the development of 93,000 square-feet of research and development and manufacturing space, an investment of approximately $54.3 million, creation of 73 full-time jobs and an increase in the state’s GDP by $15.3 million.  Quonset Business Park is now a major driver of the state’s economy with more than 200 companies employing nearly 11,000 people at the Park. Quonset’s Port of Davisville is also one of the Top 10 auto importers in North America.
