Tariff increases within Port of Corpus Christi’s Tariff 100-A and Bulk Terminal Tariff

The Port of Corpus Christi Commission meeting of December 10, 2013 approved the following, effective Jan 1, 2014:
1. A 3.97% tariff increase on all Wharfage & Dockage published within Tariff 100-A and Bulk Terminal Tariff 1-A, per Producer Price Index (PPI).
2. A 3.97% tariff increase on Bulk Terminal Tariff 1-A Items 342 (Charges for Use of Traveling Gantry Crane); 344 (Charges for Use of Radial Ship Loader) and 346 (Unloading of Rail Cars at Bulk Dock 2), per Producer Price Index (PPI).
3. An adjustment to Tariff 100-A, Items 300 B and C, dockage for barges:
B. Dockage for non self-propelled Inland Waterway Dry Cargo Barges: $150.00 per 24-hour period or fraction thereof.
C. Dockage for Ocean Going and Inland Waterway Tank Barges 360 ft or less LOA will be charged the following rates per function per 24-hour period or fraction thereof.
4. An adjustment to Tariff 100-A, Item 301 – Harbor Safety Fee:
For commercial ships and barges entering the Authority’s Waterways the Harbor Safety Fee is as follows:
Ships………$1,153.00
Barges…….$ 132.00
For commercial cargo barges that are in the Authority’s Waterways for a period of thirty (30) consecutive days or more without leaving the Authority’s Waterways, a Harbor Safety Fee of $530.00 will be assessed for each continuous 30-day period.
