Each fall, DTI selects a new cohort of high-potential transportation professionals to enter its executive Master of Science in Transportation Management program. DTI has been a true partnership between industry and the University of Denver for twenty years. The Executive Director will be responsible for cultivating and growing this partnership while furthering the organization’s mission to develop the next generation of senior leaders in transportation, logistics, and the supply chain industries. As DTI’s Executive Director, Dr. DeWitt led the effort to enhance the Institute’s executive master’s degree program by repositioning the curriculum to better serve the challenges transportation industry leaders face today. In addition, DeWitt launched DTI’s new offering to build and deliver customized corporate education programs. A successful pilot was delivered this year for a large global transportation company wanting to fast-track high potential leaders. “Bill’s deep insight to the transportation industry and extensive academic background helped to reaffirm DTI’s mission to be a key educational resource for transportation leaders, and set the foundation for the Institute to amplify its impact on the transportation industry,” said Michael McGuire, dean of the University of Denver’s University College where DTI is housed. Bill is concluding a 50-year career in transportation.
