Chief Operating Officer of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines Logistics, Raymond Fitzgerald, confirmed as keynote speaker for GreenPort Congress 2018, 16-18 May.

Fareham UK – Mr Raymond Fitzgerald, Chief Operating Officer of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines Logistics (WWL) and Chairman of the American Roll-on Roll-off Carrier (ARC) will give the keynote address at the inaugural Greenport Congress America 2018.

Following welcome addresses from Maryland’s Transportation Secretary Peter K. Rahn and Lt. Governor Boyd K. Rutherford, Raymond Fitzgerald will address the Greenport audience from a shipping and logistics company perspective on the opening morning of the conference. Mr. Fitzgerald is responsible for shipping and land-based business activity throughout the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Patrick Verhoeven, chairman of the International Association of Ports and Harbours (IAPH), will deliver a keynote speech on day two of the conference, in addition to moderating a session centred around sister ports working together on greening their ports. Mr Verhoeven offers more than twenty years of experience in leading international port and shipping organisations, offering valuable insight and knowledge to delegates.

Kurt Nagle, President and Chief Executive Officer of The American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA), will also speak on the second day of the conference. Mr Nagle offers 30 years of experience in Washington, DC, related to seaports and international trade, and has served as President and Chief Executive Officer for AAPA since 1995. During session eight of the conference Mr Nagle will discuss environmental performance measurement, covering the monitoring and reporting of environmental practices and the challenges/opportunities of improving performance in ports, terminals and surrounding communities.
