Toyota Logistics Services recently presented Crowley Liner Services with its prestigious Awards of Excellence in Customer Service and Quality for 2004. It was the fourth consecutive year the company has received such recognition from Toyota.

Bill Pennella, Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President of Crowley Maritime Corporation, and John Douglass, Sr. Vice President and General Manager of Crowley’s Puerto Rico and Caribbean liner services group, accepted the awards during a dinner ceremony in Scottsdale, Arizona at which Toyota Logistics recognized all of their logistics partners, including ocean, truck and rail providers for extraordinary service over the past year.

During the awards ceremony, Allan DeCarr, Toyota Group Vice President expressed the company’s appreciation for all of Crowley’s outstanding efforts in 2004. Crowley is the exclusive carrier for Toyota vehicles between the United States and Puerto Rico.

“Toyota takes quality and service very seriously as do we, making it a healthy partnership that has grown over the years,” said Douglass. “We appreciate their recognition of our efforts and the customer-oriented focus of our associates.”
