Traffic Club of Chicago Annual Dinner

Tickets going fast for 2024 event and golf outing
(James Street Media Services)—A rich legacy of transportation excellence will be celebrated as the Traffic Club of Chicago (TCC) hosts its 116th Annual Dinner on Wednesday, May 1.

"Since 1907, the Traffic Club of Chicago has represented businesses and individuals in transportation, distribution and logistics," said TCC President Matthew DiPilato. "Our annual dinner brings together people from some of the largest supply chain companies in North America to move our industry through the next century—and preparing for the challenges ahead."

In addition to the dinner program, attendees will have the opportunity to network with executives and representatives from top companies—including Class 1 railroads, airlines, freight carriers, shippers, and third-party logistics companies. Many who attend plan high-level meetings around the dinner and golf outing schedule.

The event’s head table is a signature part of the Annual Dinner, featuring a who’s-who of C-level logistics and supply chain executives. Seating is reserved for top-level sponsors and other dignitaries. There is a special reception for head table guests before the dinner.
The evening’s featured speaker is Tyler Fischer, an actor, stand-up comedian, and viral content creator based in New York City. He was named “The Best New Impressionist” by the New York Times and “NY’s Funniest Comedian” at the NY Comedy Festival. He has appeared on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

DiPilato is one of the youngest presidents in TCC history, but his personal history goes back to the days when his legendary grandfather George Baima, of Central States Trucking, was part of the club's leadership team.

"As president today, I want to bridge the gap between the legacy group that included my grandfather to the next generation of TCC leadership," said DiPilato. "Past generations built such a great club, and we have an excellent core of new members that are dedicated to keeping the club growing."
The reception and dinner will be held May 1 from 6–10 p.m. at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk in downtown Chicago, with an after party from 10 p.m. to midnight. The club’s annual golf outing will be held the day before on Tuesday, April 30 at the Cog Hill Golf Club in suburban Lemont.
