Dubai’s DP World, one of the world’s biggest port operators, reported a 9 percent rise in third-quarter gross container volumes on Tuesday. Gross volumes totalled 15.44 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) in the three months to Sept. 30, up from 14.17 million TEU in the prior-year period, the company said in a statement. Consolidated volumes, at terminals over which DP World has control, rose 8.8 percent to 7.3 million TEU.
