Hamburg Süd has phased in the 4600 teu vessel “Cap Jackson”, shown here docking at APM Terminals in the port of Los Angeles. The “Cap Jackson” will be part of an eleven ship fleet in the West Coast/Mediterranean service that is operated in a vessel sharing agreement with Hapag-Lloyd. The weekly West Coast-Mediterranean service provides connectivity between all major West Coast ports and the western Mediterranean. With a direct call in Cartagena this service is also part of an extensive network of Hamburg Süd services using Cartagena as a transshipment hub. Hamburg Süd offers 16 monthly departures from most West Coast ports to Australia/New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, Latin America, North Europe and the Mediterranean.
