IES links international logistics providers to real-time airfreight status

IES Ltd. announced their partnership with airfreight leader TRAXON Europe.

IES Ltd. is proud to announce their partnership with global airfreight communication leader TRAXON Europe. TRAXON's global network of airfreight messaging from about 90 airlines will be connected to the IES logistics and supply chain management systems to provide IES' client base with immediate access to airfreight shipment status information. TRAXON expects to transmit 100 million messages this year. This partnership complements IES' other partnerships with Descartes and INTTRA to provide comprehensive multi-modal carrier status messaging.

'The delivery expectations in the airfreight industry demand timely quality status data. The benefits are lost if the logistics provider has to manually access this information from every air carrier. We would fail and our software efficiency gains would suffer if this data was not immediately available in our system for our users. LSPs building their business on just-in-time delivery can keep their competitive edge,' said Andrew Bullen, President of IES Ltd.

'Due to our expansion efforts into North America we have seen increasing demand from the IES clients to utilize TRAXON's services and hence now the decision to move into a strategic partnership to fulfill that demand. With this combined approach IES and TRAXON will complement each others' companies' value-adding services for the benefit of our mutual customers. IES' customers will have access to the largest customer base of any CCS in the world,' said Felix Keck, Managing Director of TRAXON Europe.

TRAXON Europe is the world's leader in providing innovative value added e-communication services for implementing automation within the global airfreight industry. Operating a network of offices and joint ventures all over the world, TRAXON Europe links over 9000 forwarders' offices with about 90 international airlines worldwide, which together represent 95% of IATA registered global airfreight capacity.
