Metro Ports, a holding of Nautilus International Holding Corp., recently announced the appointment of Charles Tillotson to the position of director, business development, U.S. Gulf and East Coast.

Tillotson, who joins Metro Ports as a logistics professional with 28 years of experience, will be domiciled in the Houston West Gulf Region.

Tillotson began his career as a military civilian logistician on the U.S. West Coast, handling RORO, breakbulk, bulk, hazardous material and containers for stevedoring, warehousing, trucking and railroad operations.

His extensive stevedoring background included positions in operations, sales and business development.

In his new position, Tillotson will act as a key resource in the identification and execution of business development opportunities for Metro Ports on the East Coast, U.S. Gulf and certain key national accounts. Duties include working across the Metro organization to facilitate the identification and marketing of business opportunities, and the ultimate execution of transactions to build East Coast profit centers and other geographic areas. He reports to Metro Ports President James Dillman.

"Metro is very excited to have Charles on board," Dillman said. "His wealth of knowledge will be integral to Metro's continued growth."
