Nautilus International Holding Corp. announced it has completed the acquisition of Suderman Contracting Stevedores, Inc. and Suderman Terminals, Inc.

The Suderman companies serve a diverse array of cargo and cruise sectors, including dry bulk, project cargo, wind energy, and the passenger cruise industry. Headquartered in Galveston, Texas, and with operations in various Texas ports, Suderman has a long history of stevedoring and terminal operations dating back to the 19th century.

"This is an important day for Nautilus," said James R. Callahan, chairman, president & CEO of Nautilus. "With the integration of the Suderman companies, Nautilus will enhance its position as a national provider of outstanding services to the maritime industry. The addition of Suderman supports the Nautilus growth platform as well as diversifies and strengthens its geographic base by entry into the Gulf region."

Callahan reported that the integration process will begin immediately. Suderman's customers will benefit from Nautilus' operating agility, reliable services and commitment to constant improvement by providing innovative service solutions. Callahan added that it is a pleasure to have the opportunity to acquire a company that, like Nautilus, has been family-owned and -operated since the 1850s, shares similar core values and possesses complementary operational expertise.
