Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. completed an expansion to its Portland Service Center, allowing the company to maintain its consistently strong growth trajectory in Maine. The renovated service center contains 43 doors – more than 60 percent more doors than the original service center. The company first established its presence in Maine in 2005. With 29 employees, the company ships a variety of freight stemming from its proximity to the state’s largest port. The facility also benefits from its position along Interstate 95.              “As Old Dominion’s flagship Maine location, it’s important to have enough space to deliver promises for all our customers, new and old alike,” said Tony Batista, manager of the Portland service center. “We’re thrilled with our facility’s recent overhaul – a clear reflection of the company’s unwavering commitment to premium service.” The service center provides direct service throughout Maine, including Sanford, Scarborough, South Portland, Auburn, Lewiston, Bangor and Brunswick. The facility is located at 185 Rand Road in Portland.
