American Airlines Cargo has announced that its Managing Director Cargo Sales ' Latin America, Carmen Taylor has been presented with the International Business Woman of the Year Award by the Organization of Women in International Trade. The annual award was presented at a ceremony of the South Florida chapter of the organization and recognizes outstanding women for their significant contribution to enhancing international trade and business through professional and community activities.

It's the second award Taylor has received in the last year ' in 2011 she won the International Women's Day Award for leadership for promoting and enhancing free trade and international business.

Speaking following the presentation of the award, Kenji Hashimoto, American Airlines Cargo President said: "Our Cargo division is only as strong as its people, and Carmen consistently adds incredible value to the team. Always intensely focused on the customer, Carmen has an impressive reputation in the community and truly deserves this recognition."

Taylor joined the Cargo Division of American Airlines in 2004 as a Regional Sales Manager responsible for the southeastern United States before assuming her current position in 2005. In her current role, she oversees American's Cargo Sales team in South America, Mexico, Caribbean, Central America and the Southeast region of the United States, covering a total of 54 cities in 33 countries.
