First-time leasing option for American Airlines Cargo FORT WORTH, Texas - American Airlines Cargo announces a new leasing program for the CSafe Global RKN, an active Unit Load Device (ULD). Effective Nov. 1, American will make this leasing option available to customers. These high-tech units are capable of maintaining a precise temperature of four to 25 degrees Celsius, through long fights and extended hold times. Adding the leasing option for this temperature-controlled container gives American the ability to offer a simpler, enhanced experience to customers shipping time- and temperature-sensitive products. “American is incredibly excited to introduce a new option that will give our customers the ability to lease these CSafe units directly from American, leading to a simpler and more efficient shipping experience. Providing the convenience of container leasing as part of the overall ExpediteTC° service provided is an exceptional benefit to customers—and one they’ve expressed increased interest in over time,” said Tom Grubb, American’s manager of cold chain strategy. “We are very excited to have reached this agreement with American Airlines Cargo. American has been transporting CSafe containers for nearly a year and this new agreement will offer our mutual customers leasing options via a partner that is already well established in the transport of temperature-managed products by air,” added Mark Mohr, the CSafe Director of Customer Support and Partner Management, on behalf of the entire CSafe Global team. This technology, in high demand by customers needing accurate temperature management for delicate shipments, helps protect and maintain the efficacy of potentially life-saving products for patients around the world.
