Headquartered in Shelbyville, Tennessee, Big G Express provides nationwide truckload service using a fleet of 560 trucks. The asset-based carrier also offers dedicated and warehousing services. The one hundred percent employee owned ESOP also has a regional, short-haul flatbed subsidiary, IKE Transportation, that specializes in the transportation of steel for a variety of industries in the southeastern U.S.

“We’re very excited about using the TCG product from SMC³ to help improve our profitability,” said Randy Vernon, president of Big G Express. “We’re looking forward to drilling down into our costs for each load, lane and customer in detail. We’ll be able to do that easily because the software integrates with our general ledger. That streamlined process was an important part of our decision and one of the main reasons we decided to adopt the TCG solution.”

“Big G Express places a high value on investing in the latest technologies and equipment to maintain its 98 percent on-time delivery record,” said Jack Jones, director of truckload sales at SMC³. “We’re pleased they have chosen our TCG tool to help them focus on cost analysis and profitability management.”
