Federal shipments of 2.4 million reusable cloth facial coverings will begin arriving this week at ports and related maritime transportation operations around the U.S. that requested them, thanks to the urging of the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) – the unified and recognized voice of seaports in the Americas – its member port authorities, and a host of port industry partners, including the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD).

In March 2020, Flinders Port Holdings (Flinders) ordered an eco-efficient Konecranes Gottwald Model 6 Mobile Harbor Crane for their subsidiary Flinders Logistics at Port Adelaide in South Australia. The North Carolina State Ports Authority made history Wednesday as the MV Hyundai Hope sailed in to the Port of Wilmington. The MV Hyundai Hope has a carrying capacity of nearly 14,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) and is one of the largest container ships calling on the United States East Coast.
